Our model is 172 cm tall and wears size M. The photographs show the hoodie being worn, along with close-ups of the prints and fabric. The vintage wash gives each garment subtle variations in shade. Colours may appear different from one screen to another.

Mother began with a café stop and a small act of hospitality. The woman in Risto Vauras’s back-print photograph is the café owner’s mother, who offered us bananas while we spent time there. A small white Long Way Hungry chest mark, heavyweight organic cotton and a washed black finish complete this hoodie, made in Portugal, in the EU.

Heavyweight cotton. Made in Portugal.
Fit
Unisex regular fit with a hood and kangaroo pocket. The cuffs and hem use 2×2 ribbing with 5% elastane. Pre-shrunk, with 0–3% shrinkage stated by the manufacturer. Sizes XS–XXL.
Care
Follow the garment’s care label. To protect the print, wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Skip fabric softener and air dry. If ironing is needed, use low heat on the reverse; never iron directly over the print.
Made in the EU · Portugal
The blank hoodie is made in WATC STUDIO’s own ateliers in Portugal. For us, European production adds something worth knowing about the garment: an original photograph from our travels, on a blank with a clearly identified country of manufacture.
Pre-order terms
A pre-order is a binding purchase whose fulfilment depends on the campaign minimum. These campaign terms supplement the order and delivery information shown at checkout.
1. Minimum and deadline
We place the production order as soon as at least 50 paid hoodies have been ordered. The deadline to reach the goal is 23:59 Finnish time on 20 December 2026. The goal count is based on paid, non-cancelled garment units.
2. Payment and shipping
Each hoodie costs €89 and Posti shipping to Finland is €7.90 per order. Prices include taxes. Mix sizes in one order, up to 3 hoodies per size. Stripe charges the full amount when you order. The final total is shown before you confirm payment.
3. When the goal is reached
We place the production order as soon as the minimum of 50 paid hoodies is reached. Estimated delivery is around 3–4 weeks after we reach 50 paid hoodies. We will email you if the schedule changes materially.
4. If the goal is not reached
We cancel production and refund the full amount charged for the order to the original payment method within 14 days of the campaign ending. Your bank's processing time may affect when the refund appears.
5. Cancellation and returns
You may cancel a pre-order before the campaign closes by contacting us by email. A consumer's statutory 14-day withdrawal period begins when the product is received. The customer pays the return postage for an unused product; returning a faulty product is free.

The mother from the café.
On the road, we stopped at a café run by a man who was deaf and did not speak.
We stayed for a chat, and his mother offered us bananas. During that visit, Risto made her portrait. She is the woman in the photograph on the back of this hoodie.
Every photograph printed on a Long Way Hungry garment is made by Risto. We do not use stock photography or images made by other photographers.
We called it Mother. A reminder of the café, the people we met there and a small gesture of hospitality that stayed with us after we left.
